I would like to introduce you to the Text only SMS based version of Hacker News. The reason to build this was to help people get news without spending money on mobile data and be aware of what is happening around the world. It's built on txtweb.com http to sms gateway, works probably only in india, but i have not tested from a International number. You can send "@YCHN<space>news" as a SMS text message to 9266592665 to get the top 30 news feed as a Text SMS. It's free! But normal carrier SMS charges might apply. NOTE: if DND is activated, you won't get any SMS reply.
