Who we are
Launch Intel (launchintel.pro) is operated by Adam Pavlat, trading as The Adam Labs, based in the Czech Republic. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info+launchintel@theadamlabs.com.
1. Information we collect
When you use the site or the tools:
- Product details you type in (name, tagline, description, URL) and the scores and tagline variants we generate.
- Usage events for a preview or optimizer session, such as page views, button clicks, and checkout started, tied to a random campaign ID.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited. IP addresses are used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and, only if you accept analytics cookies, by Google Analytics for aggregate statistics.
- Browser storage on your device: a recent-analyses history and optimizer session data in localStorage, and a paid-access cookie (see Cookies).
When you buy:
- Your email address, name, billing country, and tax details you enter at checkout, and the payment status and amount.
- Card and other payment details are entered on Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you use Logo Animator: the image you upload is processed in server memory and passed to third-party AI model providers (via OpenRouter) to create the animation. We do not save the uploaded image itself. The animated clips generated from it are saved in private cloud storage (Amazon Web Services) under a random access ID that is not linked to your email, and are reachable only through download links that expire after 24 hours. To have generated clips deleted, email us.
When you contact us: your email address and the contents of your message.
Public information about product makers: to tell makers about a relevant free preview of their launch, we collect publicly available data from Product Hunt (product name, tagline, rank, maker names and public profile handles or links, such as a Product Hunt, X, or LinkedIn profile, and website). We do not collect this data from private sources. If you are a maker and want your data removed, see Your rights.
2. How we use it
- To run the tools, generate scores and tagline variants, and deliver what you paid for (contract).
- To process payments, send receipts and invoices, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting duties (contract and legal obligation).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix errors (legitimate interest).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics only with your consent).
- To contact makers about a relevant free preview and to record whether they replied, opened it, or bought (legitimate interest). Every message includes a way to say no, and we stop when asked.
- To answer your questions (legitimate interest).
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effects.
3. Who we disclose it to
We share data only with service providers that help us run Launch Intel, under their own data protection terms:
- Stripe: payment processing, invoices, fraud checks. Receives your email, name, billing details, and payment data.
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, databases, storage, and content delivery for the site and our internal records. Receives everything we store.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: receive the product name, tagline, and description you submit so tagline variants can be generated. We do not send your email or payment data.
- Google Analytics: receives page views and technical data for aggregate statistics, only if you accepted analytics cookies.
- Proxy and data-collection providers: used to read public web pages. They do not receive customer data.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or if the business is transferred. Some providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or EEA we rely on adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses.
4. How we disclose it
Data is sent to these providers electronically over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), through their official APIs or SDKs, and only the fields needed for the task. Preview pages are reachable by anyone who has the link, so do not share a link if you do not want others to see the product details on it. We never publish your email address.
5. Security practices
- All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and stored data is encrypted at rest by our cloud provider.
- Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 provider. Card data never reaches our servers.
- Payment webhooks are signature-verified. Paid access uses a signed, HttpOnly, time-limited cookie.
- Secrets are kept in encrypted secret storage, not in source code. The internal database is not reachable from the public internet.
- Administrative access to our internal tools needs a signed session, and API access is protected by rate limiting and shared secrets.
- We limit access to personal data to the people who need it, and we keep only what we need.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
7. How long we keep it
- Campaign and usage records: up to 2 years, then deleted automatically.
- Payment, invoice, and tax records: as long as Czech and EU tax law requires (typically up to 10 years).
- Maker records used for outreach: until you object or ask us to delete them, or they become stale, whichever comes first.
- Support emails: up to 3 years.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or similar regions, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest, including outreach. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email info+launchintel@theadamlabs.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
9. Children
Launch Intel is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will note significant changes on this page.
