A 3D visualization of all YC startups based on their mission statements

I’ve always been curious what the Y Combinator ecosystem looks like, not by geography or funding, but by how founders describe what they’re building. So I pulled every YC company description from their public directory, embedded them using an open-source model, and visualized them in 3D using UMAP + Three.js. Each point = a company. Distance = how similar their missions sound. The result is a “startup galaxy,” where clusters of AI, dev tools, fintech, and biotech emerge naturally. It’s just a fun side project (not affiliated with YC), but I’d love feedback from the community
