Hi HN! I built MailMap ( https://mailmap.site ) – a platform where you can create interactive map stories by simply sending an email. ## How it works: 1. Take a photo with GPS data 2. Email it to submit@mailmap.site with your story 3. Your story appears on an interactive map within seconds 4. Get a unique shareable URL No app downloads, no registrations required for basic use. Just email → map story. ## Technical details: - Automatically extracts GPS coordinates from image EXIF data - Alternative: registered users can add stories directly on the map (click location + wait 3 seconds) - Real-time processing and map updates - Built for the Postmark Challenge: Inbox Innovators - Supports common image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF) - Community moderation system - Mobile-responsive Google Maps integration ## Why email-first? I wanted to remove friction from sharing location-based stories. Everyone knows how to send an email, but not everyone wants to download another app or create another account. Email is universal.
