GPU cluster energy costs made simple
Hey HN, Rushil here I was planning on scaling out computing for one of my startups and wanted to see how economical it would be to run to my VCs and convince them to fund our data center. One issue I found is that between all the prospective sites, I was manually comparing energy costs, and I wanted to create a way to track it. That's why I created Compbricks, a way to efficiently calculate the cost of your computing needs. I also wanted to see how much I could save in the long run versus renting from Lambda or some other provider; although financing is on a case-by-case basis, energy and soon the cooling costs from the location our platform gives gave me a rough idea where it made sense to invest and where not. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any feedback/feature requests.
