I made a tool to help you journal consistently
Hey HN, I'm Dan, a 27-year old DevOps engineer with a strong passion for building tools. During the day, I work for a startup, and in the evenings, I enjoy working on side projects. For the past few years I've been struggling to maintain a consistent journaling habit. To that end, I created Journia. Journia is your private place for your thoughts, a place to vent and a place to record memories. It helps you build and maintain and journaling habit by sending you a daily email with random prompts to inspire your writing. All that's left to do is start typing, or even to attach a photo to remind you of the day. Your reply will be instantly saved in your journal, which is always accesible in https://journia.app . The more you write, the more fun it gets. Each daily email also includes a random entry from your past, so you can reflect and see how far you've come. All your entries are safely stored and locked behind a password, so no one but you can access them. This way, journaling becomes private, easy and frictionless, and your entries come to you. The app is completely free to use for 14 days, and afterwards I charge a small monthly fee to mostly cover servers maintenance. I hope you enjoy and find value in this tool. Let me know what you think about the front page. Is the introduction clear enough? Too long?
