Deploy Your Repo Without Settling for a Closed Platform Solution

Hello HN! This is Josh at Obris ( https://obris.io ). We're a small team working hard to create a cost-effective, flexible way of getting your website ideas onto the cloud. Our mission is to enable aspiring entrepreneurs to focus on validating their concepts without spending days configuring servers or spending $$$ on closed, uncustomizable platform solutions. We've seen a lot of rigidity in the PaaS ecosystem, with our competitors focusing on automating expensive, closed environments. Focusing on these environments leaves people paying for overly sophisticated solutions or deploying to an environment limiting the developer to their solution suite (should it really cost $5 a month to store 10k rows of data?). This situation leaves everybody with an awkward choice: either spend days rolling their own solution to avoid the cost or commit to a closed platform option that makes it difficult to migrate away later. Our solution lets you focus on what matters, deploying your idea while maintaining the flexibility IaaS offers. We allow you to deploy your webserver directly into your own AWS environment. The direct connection between our managed solution and your AWS account lets you get your idea into customers' hands without losing the ability to leverage AWS' cost-effective solutions or spending days rapidly learning the latest infrastructure-as-code paradigms. Obris makes infrastructure easy. We look forward to reading your thoughts and feedback.
