1> AI Agents, such as AutoGPT, are trending on GitHub. The concept is very intriguing. Prompt an AI Agent with your goals and it will try to fulfill them. This is an experimental project. 2> CodiumAI, powered by TestGPT, provides an IDE Extension enabling developers to generate meaningful tests as they code. CodiumAI can be used to test and fix AutoGPT. Thus, a first GPT-empowered tool is used to improve a second GPT-empowered tool. 3> Now, AutoGPT also includes unit-testing generation capabilities. So why not apply AutoGPT to itself? This raises the question around AI Agent specializations. 4> CodiumAI is focused on building a code-level testing AI Agent, while the AutoGPT is (so far) a generic Agent, which is part of its charm. 5> I am the CEO of CodiumAI, and spend a lot of my time on imagining how 2024 and 2025 software development tools and processes look like.
