Finding Interesting Publications on PubMed
I publish every week or so a new post on research on neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on ALS. To find interesting publications I coded my own tool, that interrogates a number of RSS feeds and report their content in a convenient way. However, I quickly found some limitations. For example, there are more news reviews than articles about the experiments. Reviews are helpful, but most make it seem like a quick copy and paste job. And there are more publications on low-cost in vitro experiments that you can do in your own kitchen than there are publications dealing with animal models or people and involving a significant amount of resources. So overall, half of the new publications don't meet my criteria. I decided to make another version of my little tool that would only select meaningful works. I would appreciate any comment or suggestion! https://padiracinnovation.org/News/pubmed
