Theme Juice – Desktop app for local WordPress development (beta)
Theme Juice – Desktop app for local WordPress development (beta)
This is a follow up to an earlier post of mine on Reddit (which was also posted on HN), https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/4kumnu/im_in_the_middle_of_developing_a_desktop. We officially launched our closed beta for Theme Juice this week! Our plan is to launch the full product within the next week or 2, depending on how the beta goes. https://www.themejuice.it/ Theme Juice is a desktop application built on top of tj, a command line utility I have been developing for the past 3 years that aims to make WordPress development much more enjoyable and as close to a Rails workflow as possible. http://cli.themejuice.it/ It leverages huge open source projects like Vagrant for local environments, Chef for provisioning our virtual machine, Capistrano for deployment, WP-CLI and more. Currently our beta pool is relatively small, so I wanted to post here and see if anybody was interested in becoming a beta tester if we end up needing additional users. If you're interested, please register at https://www.themejuice.it/register and I will send out additional invites as we need them! I would appreciate any feedback you have and would love to know if you've used (or even heard of) tj before!
